Term of Office:
The present
governing body was formed at the start of 2010 and members will serve a
total of 4 years until the end of December 2014.
Duties of the Board of Governors:
Governors show
an interest in all school activities and are informed about education in
general. They have participated in special training as organised by the
SEELB and by members of teaching staff.
Governors make
decisions about the financial management of the school, pupil
discipline, the curriculum, staff appointments, admission criteria,
community links, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
Governors, as a
group, work with the Principal, Senior Management and assistant teachers
to ensure the children of Comber Primary School receive a broad and
balanced curriculum. They support and encourage the stated aims
and objectives of the school.
